Every Wednesday night from 6-7:30pm - local teenagers gather to explore God's word using Lifeway's Fuel Series as a launching pad.  Students in grades 7-12 are welcome.

FAQ:

Q:  How does the Youth Ministry fit within the Family Focus of FBC Mascoutah?

A:  FBC Mascoutah is committed to engaging whole families as much as possible in the life of the church.  The youth ministry serves only as a supplement to the Christian parent's essential responsibility of evangelism and discipleship.  For student's without the benefit of Christ-following parents, the youth ministry and the church as a whole seeks to serve as an extended family by offering additional support and encouragement.

Q:  Will my student make friends have fun when attending?

A:  We try to follow a simple formula of Fun, Acceptance and Truth at our youth events.  We want to make sure that students have the opportunity to encounter God's truth in a loving and engaging way with their peers.  We don't tolerate meanness or bullying and we encourage authentic friendship.  While fun and friendship are priorities, they are not our first priority.  Students should not attend merely to be entertained or well socialized.

Q:  What do you teach?

A:  We teach the Bible as God's inspired, perfect and all-sufficient word.  We want students to connect with God by understanding the overarching story of redemption, beholding Jesus Christ as the word made flesh, and receiving His decrees directed specifically to their lives through the illuminative ministry of the Holy Spirit.  We therefore focus on three essential areas of teaching: Chronological (understanding God's plan), Christalogical (seeing Jesus exalted throughout God's plan) and Personal (understanding our role in God's plan).
