Prayer
We are just getting a prayer ministry started. The goal
is to have every other ministry of the church supported, covered, and
bathed in prayer. The pastors now have seven day a week coverage and our
prayer cover for services is about to begin.
Sunday Morning Bible Study
Our Sunday Morning Bible study
is a small group activity in which we endeavor to teach the Bible in a
relevant manner as well as providing an environment for establishing
close friendships, provide opportunity for ministry, and giving the
gospel to the lost.
Biblical Counseling
Ministry
This ministry was
established in January of 2007 and is still in the process of growing.
It is our belief that the word of God contains all the we need for life
and godliness (2 Pet 1:3) in Christ. His inerrant and infallible word
is sufficient for meeting the needs of the child of God in changing
sinful behavior and sinful habits. God knows infinitely more about how
and why man acts the way he does and we can depend on Him to transform
us (in sanctification) into His likeness making us perfect, thoroughly
furnished unto all good works. Now some (even Christian
Counselors) think this is awful trite, but we are willing to state, “Not
if you believe in the God we believe in!” We currently have one
trained and certified counselor (International Association of Biblical Counselors)
and two more in training.
Family Ministry
This ministry is still in the
planning stages. The intent is to provide a ministry that will enable
and empower Christian families to survive in our predominately
anti-traditional family environment. Our vision is to enable each and
every family member to live for the glory of God by ministering to the
family life cycle groups. These groups will include:
1. Couples : Engaged
2. Couples: Newly Weds - No children
3. Families: Parents and children
(infant to K)
4. Families: Parents with children (1st-6th
grade)
5. Families: Parents with children (7th-9th
grade)
6. Families: Parents with children (10th
– 12th grade)
7. Families: Parents with children
(college/empty nesters)
8. Widows/widowers
9. Single Parents
10. Blended families
This will be accomplished by providing:
1. Published Material such as
books/pamphlets, CD’s & DVD’s
2. Discipleship Sessions: i.e. 6
week Bible studies in each of the areas mentions above
3. 4-6 hour seminars: touch on items
of special interest to each focus group & emphasis
fundamentals and particulars.
4. Family mission trips.
